Kelly “Kupo” Goodchild

Tournament Organizer

Kelly “Kupo” Goodchild

Kelly has been a tournament organizer for SSBM since 2013 after joining the community in 2011. She was frustrated by her lack of skill in the game, but she still wanted to find a way to give back to a community she loved. Since then she has helped grow the central Florida smash scene through “Gaming Knights” and helped facilitate the long-running local tournament “CFL Smackdown”. She is co-owner to the organization “Polarity” which runs numerous gaming events in Florida. She has helped execute other large-scale events, such as “Smash the Record”, “Paragon Orlando”, “Frame One”, and has been the lead SSBM organizer for “CEO” since 2015. Kelly has worked at smash.gg for 2 years where she is the Senior Partner Support manager.

Lindsay Gonshak

Tournament Organizer

Lindsay Gonshak

Lindsay is a fighting game tournament organizer from central Florida. She discovered her passion for competitive gaming in 2013, when she joined the Gaming Knights (UCF’s video game club) and assisted them with running tournaments. Since then, she’s volunteered her time at many large events, including “CEO”, “Smash the Record”, and “Dreamhack”. She currently helps run events for “Polarity” in central Florida. She has been with smash.gg since May 2018 as a part of the support team.

Kelvin “K” Nunez

Tournament Organizer

Kelvin “K” Nunez

From being a Smash.gg Support Guru during the mornings to being an up-and-coming Production Manager by night, Kelvin is here to make sure your dull day becomes a little bit brighter. Originally getting into the Esports scene via the Melee community as a Marth/Falco main in 2006, Kelvin has had his fair share of experience in the world we’ve come to know. Contrary to what you’ve read, he originally had no interest in streaming and wanted to stick to TO’ing as his main hobby. It wasn’t until 2014, when his college friends asked him to run their college tournament streams, that he realized how much he loved being the administrator of media and entertainment.

In 2018, Kelvin is now the Production Manager for the up-and-coming Spectrum Smash tournament organization stationed in New Jersey! Currently studying to become a future Computer Engineer, Kelvin hopes to spread his love of technology around the world and help users get the best out of what they have.

Samara “Tiptoe” Jackson

Samara’s raw talent for graphic design, love for competitive play, and entrepreneurial experience make her a natural as a smash.gg ecommerce specialist.  She got her start in competitive gaming as a player and then event organizer for the 2012 SXSW Gaming Expo.  As a creator of her own clothing line and website, Samarabellum, she knows exactly what it takes to build and successfully market within the industry.  Samara makes each event she works with her own, sharing her expertise and motivating organizers to push themselves until they achieve the results she knows possible.

As the first full-time hire to the smash.gg ecommerce team, Samara works tirelessly to help organizers bring their fundraising ideas from dream to reality.  In addition to consulting on partner events, she tracks community trends, tests new sales concepts, and turns the results into actionable learnings that bring new levels of success to smash.gg shop users.  Samara is a full-time college student and expects to graduate in 2019 with a degree in Communication Design from Texas State University.

Leah joined smash.gg during its 2016 inaugural summer internship program and immediately found her calling in ecommerce.  She’s since become the lead fundraising consultant for the highly successful Big House, Genesis, and Smash Summit series, among many others.  Leah hopes to continue helping organizers make their passions financially viable and share her experience achieving those results with the community at large.
